Evaluation of Fracture Strain for Cold Drawn Thin-Walled Steel Tubes via Small Round-Bar Tensile Test

چکیده
The evaluation of tube burring formability is a crucial task for finding suitable material tube-based automobile parts. local strain at the ductile fracture site (fracture strain) should be evaluated this purpose. Moreover, cold-drawn steel has strong anisotropic shaped microstructure and possibly causes behavior. Based on background, study axial hoop directional strains tubes using small round-bar tensile specimen. burnished surface ratio pierced was also investigated possibility estimation in-line inspection. As result, three are presented with inferior, nearly same, superior compared strains, where exceeding 40% deterioration in direction occurs by combination grain elongation carbide aggregation. scanning electron micrographs suggest that microvoid growth linkage percolated thorough carbides elongated boundaries. For piercing test, 30% resulted 4% decrease surface. This result suggested can detect defects before actual tube-burring process.

Thin-Walled Tubes
The axial crushing of thin-walled tubes has been the subject of extensive research in the past. The existing kinematic models for predicting crushing behavior of axially loaded thin-walled tubes are systematically reviewed and analyzed. The advantages and limitations of each model are discussed. A new chain link model for circular tubes and square tubes is presented and studied in detail. Unlik...
متن کاملStatic Strain Aging Behavior of Low Carbon Steel Drawn Wire
The static strain aging is a phenomenon that can change the mechanical properties of low carbon steels. Thus, the static strain aging behavior of low carbon steel wires after drawing process is studied. To do so, the wires are austenitized at different temperatures and cooled in different rates. Then the wires are drawn and aged at a specific temperature and time. Before and after aging of each...
متن کاملCold End Forming Of Welded Steel Tubes
The production of custom and specific tube end shapes by cold end forming using a die is generally limited to seamless tubular parts. Current research work in the field follows the same trend as that of industry and, therefore, there is no accumulated experience, no practical design rules, and no information available in the specialized literature concerning the utilization of tube end forming ...
متن کاملQuasi-static Axial Compression of thin-walled Circular Composite Tubes
Assessing the behavior of composite structures which are subjected to impact loads is one of the important subjects in the field of mechanical sciences. Using thin-walled tubes which collapsed and absorbed the impact energy is a well-known method to prevent damages to the other parts of the structures. In this paper, deformations, crushing length, peak load, mean force and energy absorption cap...
